Authentic Bavarian Specialties and Mediterranean Cuisine in the Bavarian Forest
The restaurant at the Winterl, the “Zum Woidjager”, is a typical Bavarian restaurant in Bernried in the Bavarian Forest. The hills of the Bernrieder Winkel start right behind the village and offer a marvelous view of the lovely landscape. Our menu reflects the pristine nature of this area and invites our guests to a culinary journey across the Alpes. Our very own Rosemarie Winterl and her team provide our guests with Bavarian and Mediterranean dishes of the highest quality. Our large and versatile breakfast buffet is the best base for your active day, no matter if you are going hiking, biking, skiing shooting or if you are participating in one of our cooking classes.
Fresh Ingredients
We place great importance on high quality and freshness of all ingredients for our menus. We use venison from our own hunting trips in the local forests, organic fruits and vegetables as well as seasonal products wherever possible. By carefully selecting only the best ingredients and preparing them with great skill, we create delicious dishes with an excellent character.
Our Restaurant Room
The restaurant welcomes our guests with a friendly atmosphere and typical Bavarian elements. You dine at large, massive wooden tables and the windows let in a lot of pleasant daylight. Warm summer evenings are best spent on the terrace and beer garden under the lovely chestnut trees. For celebration, we recommend our hall with 200 seats or the Bauernstube (farmer’s room) with 40 seats.
